Our story
Van Clan began in lock down of 2020 when Mike and Kirsty went on a Tinder date one sunny Edinburgh evening. Kirsty had just that week been exploring the UK in her trusted camper- Beyonce the Bongo an Mike had just bought 'Viv'. Together, they spent the evening comparing travel stories and discovering a shared love for campervans, adventures and life in general.
By the end of that year they had travelled around the North of Scotland, fallen in love with Wales - and each other. After a few bumps in the road, the couple found their way back to each other and five years later live in East Lothian with their two children and many many campervans.
They were particularly difficult to use during two back to back pregnancies and as a result the couple began to share their knowledge and passion for Scotland by encouraging others to take a trip! Rave reviews and a true enjoyment for meeting travellers encouraged Mike and Kirsty to start up Van Clan Campers with the hope that many other families can enjoy the wild outdoors of Scotland. It is through anecdotal evidence that we believe campervans really can reconnect your relationships and help raise wee wildlings!
